Drivers Signing
- On the Start menu, click Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, click the Performance and Maintenance link.
- From the Or Pick a Control Panel Icon area, click the System link.
- In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.
- Windows device drivers and operating system files have been digitally signed by Windows to ensure quality.
- In the Device Manager area, click the Driver Signing button.
- From the What Action Do You Want Windows To Take? area, select a behavior for Windows during hardware installation.
- Select the Ignore – Install The Software Anyway And Don’t Ask For My Approval radio button to disregard driver signing.
- To activate an alert whenever a driver is being installed, select the Warn – Prompt Me Each Time To Choose An Action radio button.
- Select the Block – Never Install Unsigned Driver Software radio button to permanently disable installation of unsigned driver software.
- Select the Make This Action The System Default check box to set the selected action as the default behavior.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the OK button to close the System Properties dialog box.
- On the File menu, click Close.
